The Certification as an Ethical Diversity Practitioner (CEDP) is a customized and comprehensive coursework to develop Diversity Champions within a specific organization. It is solidly grounded by the integration of best practices with emerging theory. Its methodologies have been validated by a decade of implementation in major organizations recognized for their effective diversity practices. we focus on the head, hands, and heart of leadership skills to execute your diversity strategy. The Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership at California State University, Long Beach College of Business Adminstration has chosen to partner with the Global Diversity Institute to offer the Certification in Workplace Diversity and Ethical Leadership. The CEDP meets the Ukleja Center's mission to assist companies and not-for-profit organizations in addressing the challenges of aligning effective business performance with ethical business conduct. GDI is proud to participate in the Center for Ethical Leadership's vision to be a preeminent center of thought about applied ethics in leadership in business and the professions. The Certification Program is the Center's first public educational offering.

Certification in the Use of the Workplace Vitality & Diversity Assessment Tool
Certification in the administration, interpretation and integration of GDI's primary assessment methodology, as well as diagnosing the workplace drivers of enchantment and disenchantment.

Research

Commissioned research on the presence and magnitude of emerging diversity issues and controversies that potentially impact the workplace with evaluation and analysis consistent with the GDI vision.

Recent topical examples include the Oklahoma school district policy banning headwear affecting Muslim girls as well as other displays of identity; employee religious proselytizing and witnessing towards colleagues or customers; workplace accomodation of religious practices; the rising non-standard identity militancies due to demographic changes and the globalization of the workforce; generational conflict in the workplace; the workplace vitality and diversity implications of offshore outsourcing; gay and lesbian marriage and civil rights issues; language and regional identities; etc.

Broad based research funded by foundations, public agencies, or other institutional entities will continue to be published in the quarterly journal Diversity Praxis.

Diversity Beyond The Numbers - Presentations and Workshops
A series of presentations and workshops that cover the contents, methods, and practices, including case studies, from the book Diversity Beyond The Numbers: Business Vitality, Ethics & Identity in the 21st Century published by GDI Press in 2003. These workshops address the questions:
Why diversity beyond the numbers in the 21st Century?
What is diversity in the 21st century?, and
How can we optimize diversity in the 21st century - what methods, tools and theory are used to build business workplace vitality by optimizing diversity?

Organizational Vitality - Workplace/Workforce Enchantment & Disenchantment
Focuses on identifying drivers of constructive and destructive workplace elements and how to capitalize on the former and minimize the latter. For example, it builds an understanding with tools/techniques to help in workplace recruitment, retention and development issues confronting the growing demographic challenges including baby-boomers leaving the workplace, skills and talent shortages, retention and flexibility initiatives.
