Richard Vicenzi is a seasoned executive and consultant knowledgeable in diverse management and human resource issues. He has extensive experience in both internal operations and external consulting, in both corporate and not-for-profit environments. He has solid comprehension in hands-on assessment of emerging issues in organizations grappling with rapidly shifting environments, identification of tools to successfully navigate change, and implementation of effective interventions.
For the past 10 years, Richard has worked independently and as an adjunct consultant for several national and international consulting firms, primarily conducting proprietary assessments, advising clients, and developing and providing hands-on interventions in diversity issues and organizational restructuring and change situations. His areas of expertise include Cultural assessment & alignment; Effective team processes; Organizational change issues; Workplace diversity; Organizational design; Executive Coaching; Career Management, and Staffing and recruitment.
Prior to his recent consulting activity, Richard held operational executive and senior staff positions for several high profile operations. In addition to serving as a Vice President in the Los Angeles consulting practices of both Lee Hecht Harrison and Drake Beam Morin, both international organizational restructuring and career management consulting firms, he was a Partner with Proctor & Davis, a regional Human Resources consulting firm for 10 years, 6 years which he served as Managing Partner. He also was a Specialist in Executive Staffing and Corporate Communication Issues for Northrop Corporation.
Richard served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Free Clinic for over 10 years, served as Board President for 2 of those years, and served as Executive Director during a crucial period of transition. The LA Free Clinic is a multi-disciplinary provider of medical, dental, psychological, legal and outreach services to the underserved of Los Angeles, and is a highly regarded fixture in the Los Angeles social service infrastructure.
In addition to the Los Angeles Free Clinic, Richard has at various times also served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Homeless Healthcare Project, Career Encores (an advocate for jobs for the older worker), and the Technology Executive Roundtable, a national issues forum for small company CEOs, where he also served as Program Director for the Los Angeles Metroplex Chapter.
